Basic ideas about COSMIAS:

http://reboot.pro/to...-to-g4d-images/

It is obviously a pre-release, a simple an "poorman's" way to install syslinux from grub4dos, only a PARTIAL answer to:

http://reboot.pro/to...b4dos/?p=165012

As always, reserved to people that know where their towel is.

The attachment can be mounted in (say) imdisk allright and modified.

It is open to suggestion/ideas, I am wondering if it would be nice to either automatically reboot the PC after the execution of syslinux.com or to re-enter the grub4dos environment :dubbio:.

Pretty cool! :)  Of course, syslinux.com (and usually DOS, for that matter) will only be able to use FATXX filesystems.

P. S. I am amused by FreeDOS

Press the any key to continue ...

I can't seem to find the "any" key on my keyboard, but <SPACE> works just as well to get past the prompt. ;)

It was most probably a (BTW completely failed) attempt to avoid:

Spoiler
