What did I do now...

grub4dos 0.4.5c 2012-01-17 loaded via bootmgr (followed diddy's guide)

Target file is (hd0,1)/w76420.vhd

when I type "ls" in commandline grub I see the aforementioned file: w76420.vhd

when I type "find /w76420.vhd" I get the:
Error 15: File not found message

when I type "find /w7" then press "tab" the filename is completed so grub4dos displays "find /w76420.vhd" at which point I press "enter" and receive:
Error 15: File not found

if I type "find (hd0,1)/w76420.vhd" then press "tab" I receive:
Error 1: Filename must be either an absolute pathname or blocklist

The vhd was previously found in grub4dos and booting with firadisk without issue. Is it helpful to know that after successfully booting into the 64bit Windows7 vhd I edited the menu.lst file in notepad by removing some no longer needed entries? Also some time after that file edit, the OS went into sleep mode and would not awaken from key presses or mouseclicks as it previously had. After five minutes I turned the machine off. The other vhds on the drive are being found by grub4dos and are booting.

Try "find --devices=h /w76420.vhd"
