Two archiving application scripts for VistaPE. These scripts are motivated by some play with WinBuilder UI capabilities, not so much the lack of archiving app scripts for VistaPE.
  • 7-zip
File archiver with a high compression ratio. Handles 7z, ZIP, GZIP, BZIP2 and TAR (packing or unpacking) and RAR, CAB, ISO, ARJ, LZH, CHM, MSI, WIM, Z, CPIO, RPM, DEB and NSIS (unpacking only). The script is based on the download template and can update the application. Can be used as portable archiver (can run from USB drive). When run from a booted VistaPE medium, shell integration is available in addition.
  • Universal Extractor
Extract files from any type of archive, whether it's a simple zip file, an installation program, or even a Windows Installer (.msi) package. The script is based on the download template and can update the application. Can be used as portable archiver (can run from USB drive). When run from a booted VistaPE medium, shell integration is available in addition.

You may check the Winbuilder Archiving Application Scripts blog for updates. Feedback and suggestions are appreciated.

Have fun,

Good work.

Why don't you add your blog forum to the forum signature?

Keep it up! :dubbio:

Thanks for your kind words, Nuno. I've added a few links to my signature as you suggested. Will take a look at TugZip to complete the collection of archiving scripts :dubbio:
