Hi,

During this weekend I was curious to know what were the most popular keywords that were used on google to find our community.

The result is kind of fun since you surely wouldn't guess what these keywords are.

For example, the second most googled keyword to find Boot Land is "199 laptop" that comes from an old discussion that also involved MedEvil some years ago.

The first one is somewhat is even more strange. This list is only related to google searches and nothing else, each entry is listed according to number of clicks received for them and limited to 1000 entries.

I invite you take a look and see for yourself: http://boot-land.net/keywords

HOW did you do the data retrieval?
On which TIMESPAN?
HOW MANY hits were counted?

Translation:
if the observation was made on a very short time span and an inexperienced user (or his cat ) hit the Search button several times searching for "199 laptop" this would explain it being "TOP SEARCH"

Yes, you're right. Sorry for not explaining this a little bit better.

HOW did you do the data retrieval?

Whenever a visitor comes from an external site, this site is logged on the database.

On which TIMESPAN?

I'm not quite sure but this has been logging data for nearly a full year.

HOW MANY hits were counted?

Hundreds of thousands (>300k)

Visiting the boot land topic that shows on the first positions of google search should indicate the number of specific page views for a given topic from the search engine.

----------------

We also have data regarding other sites (non-google) that refer visitors to boot land, perhaps I'll also add this report within some time.
