I wish I had time to explain everything that's wrong with that video comparison, most notably the use of a fresh retail disk install of XP on better supported hardware versus the OEM install of Vista with all Dell's wonderful OEM junk and poor 64 bit driver support. Plus the fact that the poster admits to having his own apps installed which more than one of which probably have background apps loading at startup.

Unfortunately I spent all my time emailing him about how flawed his comparison is and need to go get some lunch, so that point will have to do.

Also, in Session 3,4 and 5, NTOSKRNL loads the services.
