Ubuntu is getting better and better but as we all know there is still a lot of things that can only be done in windows.

On this post we'll mention how you can run windows inside a PC emulator called Virtual Box and ensure that all your USB devices can be recognized by this emulator.

This way you will be able to run Internet Explorer or any other windows specific program or hardware in "seamless" mode.

The best guide I've found to show how to add support for USB devices:
http://forum.noteboo...ad.php?t=242936

------------

There is a portuguese page that was written on this matter and is the best source of informations that I found to teach how to add my username to the group of users allowed to run virtualbox: http://hamacker.word...a-ubuntu-gutsy/
adduser yourlogin vboxusers

I include a google translated english version here: http://translate.goo...t...sl=pt&tl=en

------------

It's not a one-click process so a few google searchs may also be required to find more informations.

I'll also try to help clearing out any doubts regarding the install.

-------

As end result, you get a desktop capable of running Windows and Linux programs side-by-side using the "Seamless Integration" feature.
