How to Convert a Folder to a Drive in XP
(General Tips)
=============================================================

Hi
Do you know that you can force windows XP to show a folder in
Hard disk as Another partition?!!

That is very easy.as bellow:
I suppose that you have folder "XXXX" in drive D:\ (D:\XXXX).
and you want to see this folder as drive "Z" in my computer.
just go to start menu, select run,and type command bellow:

subst.exe z: "d:\xxxx"
and hit enter.
now if you go to my computer you will see that there is a drive
by the name of "Z" and if you go to this drive, you will see that
there are contents of D:\XXXX directory on it.
you can work by contents of drive z.

Thats all
have fun

Really nice Hit.

Btw, if you wanna to remove the virtual drive that you made just use
subst z: /d
where z: is the drive letter that you use for the folder (as above).

Thanks shirin
