Hi all, :tabletalk:

To Whom it may concern?

Was using Winbuilder [074] within the downloads center to try & find & download "NativeEx_Moalite", so my natural; choice was to go for the "Complete List" from the "available web servers" I have run into an error message (3 times) "Is not valid Interger value" see attachment for verification. The problem occurs at the NativeEx section of the download on the nativeex.bootland.net server. Can anyone tell me what is causing this please!

Regards,

ispy

Yes, there's been a corrupted upload, that's all. I'll send Peter a PM to alert him.

Galapo.

Sorry, Galapo! But there is no corrupted upload.
Peters autoupx script creates upon run a custom script and then runs it.
With that script there are two things wrong.
1. It does not get deleted after use.
2. It contains: version=
And since "blank" isn't an integer, the downloadcenter chokes on it.

So the version on his server has currently 'version='? Yes, WB would not like that as the version number is needed to see if a script is newer.

Hi all, :tabletalk:

I'm sorry! I do not want to cause any problems for anyone that is not my intention? Once a cure is found maybe it would be best to delete this entire post, maybe in future it would be better to PM someone 1st but I didn't know who to consult as I didn't really know what the problem was in the 1st place.

Also beginning to wonder (Hunch) whether the NativeEx_Moalite is in the experimental stage & not available within Winbuilder [074] options anyway?

My Appologies,

ispy

It's partly experimental, but since it is based upon nativeEx, it has a solid base. If it is lacking anything you're after, just add scripts from the nativeEx_barebone etc.

I haven't gotten around to added the moa scripts to LiveXP yet, partly because I haven't been able to correct the issue mentioned here: http://www.boot-land...?...ost&p=28709

Galapo.

Sorry, I made a mistake when I tested an enhancement of Arvy's version 0.30 of the Server Site Management.

That is fixed now.

nativeEx_moa-lite until now is only tested by me (and sanbarrow?).
Nobody else has been interested until now.

So possibly you may find some enhancements, questions etc.

Nobody else has been interested until now.

I've tested quite a bit towards the end of last year and also wrote a script for vmware converter. I remain interested, but still have been having difficulties with the runtime files. For it to work for me, I have to install the core files on the fly before running vmxbuilder.

regards,
Galapo.

There is another issue.

When starting for the first time, the nativeEx_moa-lite project downloads the latest USB driver from the LIveXP server.

The folder there has been changed from Drivers/Storage to Drivers/4 Storage.

Therefore the current moa-lite projects brings an error.

I fixed this.

#1 The better way is how you did: Make the issue public.

#2 All nativeEx projects which you can download from the nativeEx server, run under WB 074.
Partly they are tested by me only, like nativeEx_moa-lite, nativeEx_puzzleXP and nativeEx_trackWBInstall, and they need to be download and tested by some people.

Hi Peter, All ,

Just to clarify the origins this request for "nativeEx_moa-lite", I ask a question in the starters section, see text here.

QUOTE
What is the smallest reconfigured OS that Winbuilder can produce (Size) that is capable of running Qemu as a standalone unit to load other alternative Op Systems or would something like Winroot or Winimize be candidates?

& the reply from aeroxp was
NativeEx_MoaLite?

This is why I was in Winbuilder [074] in the 1st place I was not aware how far development had taken place. I've jumped the gun again & assumed wrongly that "nativeEx_moa-lite", was mainstream. My appologies! It's not aeroxp's fault the blame lays squarely at my feet he simply answered a question that I asked & thus should be absolved of any responsibility.

Peter, I do not want to exert any pressure on you, or place any obligation on you in the development of "nativeEx_moa-lite" please take your time in its production because I'm not entirely sure what it does anyway (but I'm sure its great whatever it is!) I was merely posting a problem that I encountered & by way of explanation, & surrounding the circumstances, I inadvertantly mentioned "nativeEx_moa-lite".

I am quite embaressed now - Is there any way that that this entire post can be deleted because as stated previously I should have perhaps sent a personal message explaining the problem but was not sure who to send it to. I refer to post 1 in respect of the original error encountered, this was the real reason for the post.

Sorry Guys I've put my size 12 in it again, off to crawl under the rock from whence I came!

Regards,

ispy :tabletalk:

Due to 'Delete the complete stuff' I disagree. If you have a look at the third line of my signature, you can understand the reason.

The troubles you've had maybe next week are the troubles of a different member, and then it is fine to have some posts about the issue.

In my eyes PMs are a way to communicate personal or 'secret development' issues, never questions or troubles.

Peter

BTW: I wrote the nativeEx_moa-lite project on suggestion of sanbarrow to try to convert his MOA into a winbuilder script. During the development time Sanbarrow was very helpful with suggestions, critics, etc.

@Sanbarrow:Maybe you now again help us giving some practical samples what can be done with MOA or nativeEx_moa-lite.
(Or telling what's still missing)

@ispy

I agree with Peter that it was good of you to post. I only sent him a PM to draw attention to this topic in case he hadn't seen it and it relates to his work.

Regards,
Galapo.

Hi Sanbarrow :tabletalk: ,

It's OK now, many thanks for your offer of help. I asked a question in the starters section in relation to the smallest reconfigured OP system that would run Qemu & aeroxp kindly suggested "NativeEX_Moa-lite".

I assumed, & assumed wrongly that NativeEx_Moa-lite was mainstream within Winbuilder, so I went looking for it in Winbuilder [074]. A subsequent problem occured within Winbuilder that the rest of the guys have helped within this overall posting (See post #1) for the original details.

I will await the release of NativeEX_Moa-lite when it is incorporated in Winbuilder, as I believe it is a project that Peter & yourself are working on (Still in development). I'm not entirely sure what NativeEx_Moa-lite does anyway?

Regards & Best Wishes,

ispy
