Help!!! desperate need for a unicode capable editor

It needs to have:
- find in files
- needs to be 100% unicode capable in each and every function
- needs to be able to handle binary files (Hex)
Would also settle for a pure Hex Editor or a standalone search tool.
Editors that failed so far to deliver:
- Textpad - can't 'find in file' unicode strings in binary files
- Notepad++ - also can't 'find in file' unicode strings in binary files, despite the fact that one can even select it
- PSPad - can't handle binary files in 'find in file' at all, as it seems
- EditPlus - can't handle any binary files
- UltraEdit - finds unicode strings in binary files with 'find in files' can't do the same in an opened file!
Hope someone can help me.

Tiny Hexer has no 'find in files'.
Just tested a bunch of supposedly unicode capable Hex Editor. (Wikipedia)
Most had no 'find in files' and those that had, couldn't find unicode strings in files.
Some couldn't even in an opened file.
Has anyone an idea where to find an comparison of search tools?

That is funny, I posted today the plugin of Agent Ransack for VistaPE before I noticed your post.Since yesterday i'm searching for an editor with some appearantly too special features.
It needs to have:
- find in files
- needs to be 100% unicode capable in each and every function
- needs to be able to handle binary files (Hex)
Agent Ransack is a file search tool which is from my observations capable of searching for UTF-16/double byte characters/wide strings in binary files.
I did not even know this before I saw your post and tried it out...
Therefore I would assume that Agent Ransack is may be what you are searching for...

Try to search for "lanmanserver" this should be found in netlogon.dll, if unocode search in binary files works.

Agent Ransack does the job. Interestingly the 'pro' version of it, can't anymore.
Unfortunately for the task at hand, i've got the tip for AR only after i completed the search already by hand.
Thanks to everyone for their help, with special mentioning of booty#1.
PS: If anyone should come across a program that allows also to open and edit the files, i would be still most interested!!!
