ImDisk: It is safe to mount disk with corrupted FS?

imdisk correpted fs safe

No, it will not corrupt other files on host filesystem than the image file itself. If the image file size did not increase, the extra space was probably never written from filesystem cache down to actual ImDisk volume. I would guess that you could have some errors from fastfat.sys driver in your event logs that can explain more in detail how the filesystem driver handled this, but in general the extra bytes are simply lost and the filesystem in the image could be corrupt.

Hello!
For example: I have part-downloaded FAT32 image. It has size 75 MiB, but contains file system that info about his size is 4 GiB. I mount image, and copy 3GiB of software to it. And soft was successfuly copied. Image size was don't increased. Where is data after 75 Mb? Is it writed to host FS contained FAT32 or just ignored by ImDisk driver?
