I have one old desktop PC on which i want to install Windows from USB. Currently it have Windows xp installed which i installed from CD when i bought the computer, a 6 years ago. I have Windows xp and Windows 7 on installation USB's and i have used them to install windows on other PC's many times. But when i connect any of the usb's and restart my PC it doesn't start the installation, just starts normally as it there is not installation usb connected. And this is happening with the both usb's. When the computer is on and i enter any of the usb it recognizes them but when i restart it it doesn't start the installation process.

Any idea why this is happening? Or maybe the hardware is too old and doesn't support installation from usb?

Did you set up the BIOS settings - ftp://europe.asrock.com/manual/K8NF6G-VSTA.pdf

Legacy USB = Enabled

Boot order = USB device

?

Thanks, i changed the boot order settings, though they was a little confusing on this bios, and managed to install Windows 7 from the usb.
