This tool might be useful if you're interested in getting the contents from MSI packages: http://lessmsi.activescott.com/

Along the way, they use something called "chocolatey" which aims to be an apt-get for Windows. Details at http://chocolatey.github.io/

Nice finding, thanks Nuno !

Notices the play word "LessMSIérables" in the screenshoot? -> "Les Misérables" ?

In the past I had also use Orca with success to edit my MSI packages.

Hi Nuno,

Great find. This tool is also useful for tracing external .cab files dependencies - e.g. which .cab files are required for the individual (and numerous) .msi files included in the Windows ADK for Windows 8.1.

It's relatively small and relatively intuitive - nice tool.

Regards,

Misty
