Here is something fun that I stumbled around the web: http://jamesfriend.c...e-js/ibmpc-win/

The mouse didn't seem to work from my browser (Firefox) but it was fun to see it booting up. Oh the memories.. :)

Should we create a WinBuilder 2013 project for this? :dubbio:

Inspite it seems to be not very interesting for 99.9 percent of members, there maybe some 0.1 percent interested members.

I still have M$ WIN 3.0 and 3.1 source floppies, and it could be a big challenge ...

I like the idea but we'd have trouble in storing files, require constant access to the Internet and run into trouble on browsers with disabled Javascript.

Right now winbuilder already runs from a web browser and we do it using plain HTML, no need for Javascript (yet).

Quite true. Recent code is quite standalone. There is a handy tool for converting a normal desktop GUI to web: http://demo.java2script.org/controls/

But I'm expecting that this only works when you install a web server like tomcat. Would be great to see something that would convert from Java to pure Javascript that would run only from the desktop.

These guys seem to already be writing this kind of Java->Javascript code: http://st-js.github.io/faq.html

But this would cause trouble on our side. What we get for running winbuilder purely from a browser we'd lose in terms of running from a command line or integration with other Java libraries that come handy.
