How to mount ISO files in Windows 8 Recovery environment

Please I read "in Windows 8 Recovery environment you can install windows by mounting with R-mouse any Windows Setup ISO files by mounting with R-mouse any Windows Setup ISO file"

Please WIMB said that he could mount ISO files in Windows 8 Recovery Environment.Can WIMB tell me kindly how?

I am aware of WinNTSetup2_x64.exe but I can not mount isos.

All I can do is to extract the iso file of windows 8 dvd by using 7zip.

Then I can point to the install.wim file,so the setup of windows 8 can proceed.

I tried it  but i can not mount any ISO file in  Windows 8 Recovery environment on a USB-Harddisk Drive.

I do can run 64bit apps by right click and "run as administrator".
Can someone guide and or correct me?

In Win8 Recovery environment:

1. Run WinNTSetup2_x64 from TBLauncher Menu

2. Right-click on Icon at "Select location of Windows installation files" will give FileSelector to Select ISO file

Mounting of ISO is done by WinNTSetup2_X64

Now I am working on UEFI MULTI.I can Use most of its features with success.

Only one thing does not work:

When I try to add WIN7-VHD file that i tried it before millions of time that it is bootable and working on different USB harddisk,your program says: 

"MBR BootCode and valid BootSector NOT Found....Image Not Bootable"

I could overcome this issue by Editing manually the BOOT\BCD file using EASYBCD V2.2 and choosing Add new entry->diskimage->microsoft VHD...

So I managed to add entry in the menu of bootmgr in case I boot from BIOS [Disable Secure Boot] ,But by using EASYBCD,not the box in UEFI MULTI.

Do you know how to let your program do the job as advertised?

Apparently the MBR of your VHD does not have standard MBR Boot code.

However, as you say the VHD is bootable.

How was that VHD prepared ?

I will make changes in UEFI_MULTI such that only a WARNING is given 

and that such VHD with non-standard MBR can be selected and used by the program.

That Win7-VHD file was prepared normally by creating an empty VHD file then mounting it by attaching it in  a windows 7 disk manager.After that I installed Windows 7.I then applied a code "set_7_usb_boot.cmd  v0.02t" ,created by CDOB.Finally I copied the VHD file to a USB-hdd ,MYPASSPORT on a primary NTFS partition and used EASYBCD to make a menu on that USB-hdd [offline deployment of BCD feature in easybcd].That was 2 years ago,and since then i use this Win7-VHD file frequently to make maintenance to my PCs[2] and or laptops[2].

I think if I still remember that I used a method called "[Tutorial] Boot Windows 7 from USB hard disk by karyonix".
