About Kaspersky there is another report about a dracut issue here:
http://www.911cd.net...showtopic=24818
(which I guess has a similar origin/reason)

Where some possible hints/experiments have been suggested, but OP has not yet replied.

Does that mean I have to boot from an ISO? If so I really don't want to go through the feat of trying to find defragment it considering I only have 41.3 mb left on my flash drive to defrag.

No, actually it does mean that booting from a .iso is currently NOT possible BUT that booting from a "flat" directory structure should be.
Since you cannot possibly have read the given material in 4 minutes, it also means that you are not interested in troubleshooting the error and (hopefully) solve it, but rather expect a pre-made solution which I do not have available.

I just changed settings for the Kaspersky Configuration file to this

#boot di kaspersky
label Boot from Kaspersky Rescue Disk 2010
menu label Boot from ^Kaspersky Rescue Disk 2010
MENU INDENT 1
kernel /rescue root=live:CDLABEL=KRD10 rootfstype=auto vga=791 init=/rescue initrd=rescue.igz kav_lang=ru udev liveimg splash quiet doscsi nomodeset
initrd /rescue.igz
boot
#

(Doesn't work, when I go to boot it, the screen flashes and that is it.)

Also, do you have the solution for the other 2 problems?

(Doesn't work, when I go to boot it, the screen flashes and that is it.)

Sure it doesn't, unless you also changed the CD Label to KRD10. :frusty:

Additionally you seemingly used something that is a "mixed-mode" between Syslinux and grub4dos syntax. :w00t:

Also, do you have the solution for the other 2 problems?

No.

Is it ok that I use mixed syntax? And.... How do I change the CD Label? :suda:

Of course NOT. :frusty:

And.... How do I change the CD Label? :suda:

You learn how to do it by researching, reading and understanding the relevant info? :dubbio:

Since you seem more like prone to use the "infinite monkey approach" :
http://en.wikipedia...._monkey_theorem
(but with the not-so-slight-difference of having at your disposal a single "monkey" :w00t:)
your best bet is IMHO to wait until Davide Costa fixes the issue.

Well... No more kaspersky :( I hope there is a fix soon, and that there is a fix for both of my other problems. But, now I have a weird problem. I have Utility.cfg to run all 3 configs, but only 2 of them show up.... The UBCD is missing from the boot menu. Here is my code.

The Kaspersky Live CD works now after the fix. But still Acronis and Dr. Web doesn't work. But, what does this mean? "N.B check if the is is right editing the file DrWebsyslinux.cfg"

  • DrWeb: I downloaded last version with SARDU today. DrWeb have one ID. Check if the ID of my code is the same of your DrWebsyslinux.cfg
  • Acronis: you screenshoot is a tips :) Close the tip. My Acronis shows the tip but in background launch the scan :)

Acronis: Well, I can't really move my mouse...

  • Acronis i don't know, isn't a problem of SARDU. My mouse works fine

This works for me in Grub4Dos
title Acronis RescuenStart Acronis Rescue CD
find --set-root /casper/vmlinuz
kernel /casper/vmlinuz vga=791 boot=casper quiet
initrd=/casper/initrd.gz

Where casper is the folder copied from cd to usb.
g4d can be run from a syslinux usb see RMPrep usb tutorials.

Maybe reading the grub4dos guide might help :whistling::
http://diddy.boot-la...inux.htm#linux1

And, JFYI, we are talking of grub4dos, which is NOT GRUB (legacy) AND NOT GRUB (2).

Acronis:isn't a problem of grub or syslinux.
Grub cannot enable the mouse, syslinux cannot disable the mouse

DrWeb is the same of my copy and works fine.

Make a simply (slow) test: try the USB with MobaLiveCD. I just tried...and...works fine.
In my test i have only Acronis, DrWeb and KavRescue.

For your mouse problem see here:
http://forum.acronis.com/forum/26065
Also for G4D I actually copied the kernel and initrd files from a working Cd not the .iso They are named respctively dat3.dat and dat2.dat on the cd , renamed by me for clarity.
The reason for this is:

With acronis using this,

This works for me in Grub4Dos
title Acronis RescuenStart Acronis Rescue CD
find --set-root /casper/vmlinuz
kernel /casper/vmlinuz vga=791 boot=casper quiet
initrd=/casper/initrd.gz

Gives me this error, (Along the lines) Dev/sd0 medium not found. I managed to get this run by using custom files for UBCD running GRUB4DOS.

As for Dr.Web the cd boots, but no response from the mouse.

If there is no fix for this. What do you think is a good if not better alternative?
