Hi,

On some machine line Dell the halt command will shutdown the computer automatically.
But on my new Asus motherboard computer it just hang.

I am currently using the grldr from grub4dos-0.4.4 official version.
this version grldr is 213kb

On Hiren Boot disk I noticed that the grldr is 253KB I don't know what version is this
but somehow on that bootdisk it is able to shutdown my new asus motherboard.

Is there any new grldr or patched version that will enable shutdown?

Please help and thanks.

There is a nice sticky here:
http://reboot.pro/14/

EXACTLY to avoid something saying "I'm using grub4dos-0.4.4 official version".
There isn't ANY "official version" they are dated, there is a "current release" here (currently 0.4.4-2009-10-16):
http://nufans.net/gr...urrent_release/
http://nufans.net/gr...-2009-10-16.zip
(but right now the site is down :))
find it here:
http://dx1.vdisk.cn/...-2009-10-16.zip

and a "latest", here:
http://code.google.c.../downloads/list
that right now is 0.4.5b-2011-07-14:
http://code.google.c...-14.7z&can=2&q=

The date/version info is printed on top of the screen in grub4dos.

You shouldn't use WAREZ.
