Hi. So I want to be able to access network shares on other machines while running my pe (which is a standard W7 installation pe with some custom additions).
How do I do that, what do I need to add. I understand that I can potentially get this information from some WB script but I hope it doesn't come to that. Never liked WB, all my attempts with it were unsuccessful.
I should add that I am able to browse the Internet with opera after running my netsh.cmd which configures the ip adress and I do see the network machines but no network shares.

Just use:

Example:
net use Z: Machine1share /user:Machine1UserName Password

It certainly should work! Check your account permissions.
But using File and Printer Sharing, you mean you want other PCs to be access files that are stored on the WinPE client?

I want to view and access shares, say, in total commander.
I don't want other PCs to be able to access files that are stored on the WinPE client, no.
How do I check account permissions?

I don't think the link layer topology mapper is installed in WinPE.

I think the actual problem here is the absence of Computer Browser service.
Don't you guys have an irc channel??? Goooooooooooooood!!! That would be such a time saver!
