Hi, I'm new to BartPE/Winbuilder. I harve two very usable bootable recovery cds based on BartPE. What I want o do is:
1. Make a single bootable cd from using application of my choice from these two cds.
2. Add some additional applications to it.
3. Add driver of Sata Raid Controller.

Please some help me to accomplish this. I've tried "Newcomer's Tutorial - LiveXP, W7PEX & ppApps!" but I'm never able to customize things

OK, one reason maybe no quicker replies is that this doesn't have much information, and in general, many of the things here at boot-land aren't really for a complete novice.

So, a couple of questions.
  • Are these boot-able recovery CD's you have "physical", or do you have "ISO" file? If physical, do you know how to turn them into a "bootable" ISO file?
  • Are they build from scratch by you, or did you just download them?
  • Are you looking to make ONE boot that has access to the tools? Or a system where you can choose to boot into either one?
If you have ISO files AND you only want to combine them so that you can "multi-Boot", then there are some topic and tools here that might help. On the other hand, if you have the source scripts used to build the original ISO image (using something like what UBCD4Win uses, you should be able to merge the scripts.

BUT, if all you had was downloaded ISO or physical CD's, then you have some learning to do, and I would strongly suggest looking at LiveXP to start, since it is XP oriented like BartPE, and then later move up to one of the other projects.

(and post questions along the way in the right forum area)...

Thanks for ur answer.
  • I've bootable ISO.
  • I've downloaded them.
  • Yes I'm looking to make ONE boot that has access to the tools.
I know what is an ISO and how to extract it and I've actually successfully made a multiboot cd by using Aero Studio to boot different ISOs. Now my problems are really basic:
  • I can extract application of my choice from these two ISOs but where I've to put them to make LiveXp cd by following the tutorial?
  • What about the plugins. How I shall create them?
  • Is it possible.

1. for the Portable tools (that no require to add registry entries) like
Total Commander, 7-zip, a43,.. , you can easly create a script.
2. for the Other tools you must have all required Files and have to download the "tool".script and then you can also change this script.
