"You need to go to primary school, learn to read, then come back here and read this thread.
You will probably also learn NOT to SPAM boards at school"

This is a quote by Jaclaz

I love it.

Impatient or what? and he shouted!

Hi,

As a rule of thumb, do keep in mind that people reading your topic for the first time (such as myself) will not understand 'whatever' you mean without providing a link or clear context of what happened.

Having said this, I've moved this topic from the grub4dos section on the community forum.

If you have a problem with a particular member, solve it by email or private message.

I advice you to read the forum rules: http://reboot.pro/9101/

When starting a new topic, provide a meaningful title or otherwise you'll just seem to be goofing around.

Thank you.

Since - by extracting a post out of context :w00t: and giving NO referemce to it - it may appear that jaclaz is completely crazy  , it might be better to clarify.

The snippet was taken from the Winimage Forum, here:
http://www.winimage.....php?f=7&t=3337
where a SPAMmer senselessly revived a thread with a stupid post - clearly auto-generated from the topic title (topic that ALREADY contained the instructions answering the question) - in order to give visibility to his/her signature - that before the edit contained a SPAMming link.

From time to time jaclaz, in his role of Admin of that board, instead of simply deleting SPAMming posts and banning users forever, likes to leave a little trace of the SPAMmers, just for the fun of it. :)

And yes, he is grumpy (and cheap, but that is unrelated ;)).

For the benefit of saddlejib a pertinent LOLCAT:

And yes, he is grumpy (and cheap, but that is unrelated ;)).

Grumpy...upon request? Nice touch-up... Fair to newbies - "may require higher rate". "This dinosaur will help rid of these nasty non-shaved chimpanzees with one hand tied behind his back, anytime ;)"

It reminded me that small "For rent" ad in a Napoli Tabloid, in the corner, but on the front page, way below "Wife puts Berlusconi on the defensive": "Small room for rent, Old Marina view, made on holidays, grumpy stubborn landlord is an asset (extra fee), cheap, first and last". :)

SOS! HELP! I have a problem! My PC doesn't boot! This is my first Reboot!

No indeed not at all,

I have absolute respect for Jaclaz unreservedly and without doubt.

If he was an executioner I would ask him to chop once as he does (third person singular) and know thats what i'd get.

I genuinely find that when he lose's his patience he hits a chord with me that actually makes me laugh.

There is no disrespect meant or intended or implied.

lol

addendum: I wish I had his clarity.

Hes not grumpy, he just has to keep recovering old ground, It comes down to writing a definitative WIKI for all, an extremely difficult task.

My apologies Jaclaz if you took offence.

One must remember sambul61 that everyone has something to offer, from mould came Penicillin?

Or Quote from me "right here right now" that's from a song "arrogance is the theft of creativity" thats latter is from me.

Or one day in millenia one of those "chimpanzees" might break open a shell (no not that one) with a stone.

post script p.s for chimpanzees I was going to delete the post as people might not have appreciated my sense of humour, thank god (not religious) for free speech. Jaclaz, Wonko, TinyBit appreciate your work as i'm sure everyone does.

Berlusconi created the Roman empire did he not, or was it Calligula (yes I know it's a corruption of history) 'parody'
"Salve Magister"

or p.p.s postscriptum for the monkeys sambul61 hows your Quantum Physics coming along ?
or if you would like to improve where would you seek the Knowledge?

Science begets philosopy
And philosopy begets science

And also sambul61 I may have read you wrong so I will apologise already just in case. I just think that the minions/plebicites including myself have something to offer. Even if it's only a train of thought!

My apologies Jaclaz if you took offence.

No offence taken, rest assured. :happy_dance2:

But just imagine when in - say - three thousands years from now, this thread is found by cyberarcheologists....
... it is only fair that the guys that will come will know how jaclaz did senceful things - though in a grumpy manner.

For no apparent reason, an appropriate LOLCAT:

Dr House M.D. of internet

I had a signature - "Everybody Lies" - and link to : http://everybody-lies.info/

with Dr House picture.

And that was interpreted here like hate speech in signature.

Obviously not everyone interpreted Dr House as funniest man.

All depends on the brain that looks at.

I believe if someone have hypersensitive CementHead everything is the hate speech for him. :worship:

There is a growing number of people who are sick of any kind of humor.

The second part of this contradiction is that the culture of the Internet is all about what’s funny. :)

I know in my own language forum where the humour was forbidden by forum rules also any
sort of greetings - especially religious holidays in point that members would not come into conflict
and that place become externally

the "Museum Of Tolerance" - and purely "Technical Forum" without emotions. ;)

Now there are only a few members online - certainly without emotions....

Chill out everyone.
I only added the post as a little aside from the general intensities of all issues discussed on this forum I most certainly have the deepest respect for Jaclaz, both his knowledge the clarity of his posts etc and I genuinely giggle when he gets annoyed,
I love it ,maybe it's my sense of humor?

This is an extract from a post i put on sharingisthepoint.net 03/01/2011

for grub4dos usb heads who want to make additions
Thanks to Jaclaz:
just found this he puts it into words

More generally, taken this syslinux .cfg entry as an example :
QUOTE
label ubnentry0
menu label Start BackTrack FrameBuffer (1024x768)
kernel /boot/vmlinuz
append initrd=/boot/initrd.gz BOOT=casper boot=casper nopersistent rw quiet vga=0x317
theres more but abridged

No disrespect like I say I admire his clarity

Anyway did you here the one about .............

This is look like a open war against Jaclaz ,

Well,
Wonko can tell you - should you trust his word for this  - that jaclaz is perfectly OK.

I don't see anything bad in saddlejib's posts :) exception made for his persistance in senselessly posting snippets of something without pointing to the source of it :ranting2: and without using [ quote ] [ / quote ] tags :angry7:, thus making his posts incomplete and very difficult to read.

In this particular case he cannot actually link to the source ;) , but the interesting part is how he (and probably all the other members of that board) seemingly fail to see how a place called "sharing is the point" that is actually a "reserved to members only board":
http://sharingisthepoint.net/vb/
is obviously a nonsense.

A slightly more interesting part is that being it also a "no-questions asked" (please read as WAREZ ;) connected) board, jaclaz would prefer his name NOT to be connected to it, in ANY way.

Sadly :( this is already at least the second time that jaclaz's name has been linked to that board:
http://www.911cd.net...showtopic=22834

But I guess it's allright now ;) , since WAREZ  are also seemingly allowed on boot-land reboot.pro.

So, no need to be sad, and definitely not sad for jaclaz, who is - I am told - not sad, nor angry.

"For most of his life, Spock was torn between his emotional human side and the stern discipline of his Vulcan half until his experience with the V'Ger machine-entity in 2271 and his later death and rebirth in 2286 broadened his perspective."

Lacky with friends... ;) "They" are just joking, for sure...

It reminded me Mel Gibson's movie Conspiracy Theory, when "The American Girl" asks "They? Who are they?" ;)

Thanks for your measured interjection Wonko and from that I take,

Thanks Jaclaz be as you are thats what I say I'm c**p at posting but thats my fault not the "community" keep up the good work.

Ever good and ever informative.

On yet another side note,
Did B.G****s invent assembly language or the gui for that matter.

So is warez a form of anti_capitalism or is it democratisation of the internet.

and on that note was the internet created by a capitalist in the sense of not sharing knowledge

or for the chimps why does China and recently Egypt turn off access

Can anyone see how funny it really is'nt or is it me!

Lets keep thoughts and concepts "truly" open and intercommunicate worldwide.

Or in English or which ever language you prefer " Chill Out"

Also with reference to Spock he was in the formative years of Star Trek where each episode carried a moral, a tradition which continued, thankfully, throughout the series of format changes.

The most relative, no not Einstein, being the Borg and the now famous expression "Resistance is futile" and yet Captain Janeway never gave gave up the fight.

WHY ?

On that note Linux is O.K. Isn't It? mmmmmmmmmmmmm who invented that? No not the person we can Google that but yes he can be attributed to the concept.

Whoops. I think I say too much but at least it might start a moral debate on the excellent work reboot.pro does.

Or perhaps I should have said nothing. Votes from those who would shoot me and those who would vote for me as corruptable leader. Please.

Every time I open Ubuntu on a home PC, I like it. But then again I go back to Windows. Why? Dunno, probably psycho... :w00t: But its being developed quite well, with some Linux forks used extensively by Governments for strategic security and cost.

Just trying to keep track of your thoughts saddlejib. Not a simple task for a nob like me. Like politicians say: "Staying on message" - their talking points never penetrate that monkey's mind. :happy_dance:
