OK, to try to clarify the question...

You want somehow to protect the content of the CD i.e. not the issues with activation and all that piracy/warez of the actual software from microsoft, but the customizations youhave made, etc.

Since once they have the physical CD, they could copy it, that wouldn't work. You might be able to find some way to "encrypt" the entire contents, but then you would have to have a special boot loader that understood how to read your encrypted CD... I'm not aware of anything like that, but is that what you are looking for?

At the end of the day, it is going to come down to a trade-off on usability vs. protection. Like many other forms of "license" (which is a grant of a set of rights), enforcement of those rights is all about the ease of legitimate users vs. the rights of the publisher...

But, again, the point of this posting is to clarify what you are looking for...You want to give them a CD to use, but not allow them to make any changes to the CD and then re-burn a new copy...Right?

OK, then the simple answer is NO, it's not easy or practical, especially if it is a bootable CD.
