hello

i hope the topic title was detailed enough.

i know as a a fact that windows xp installation on fat32 usb drive is very slow (if you know a way to boost it i would happay to hear).
the problem that syslinux don't work with ntfs and use windows xp as i sad above could last for ever.

I thought maybe there is a way to partition the usb drive(thumb) to ntfs and fat32 so windows xp and bartpe will use the ntfs and
sardu will use the fat32, if that possible or there is another way and someone could guide me with the process to do it i will be grateful.

I meant to use WinSetupFromUSB to the task because it's the only tool i know that have the option for windows xp, windows pe, syslinux,g4d...

thanks.

If you want merge SARDU with install tools of Seven and windows XP i'm working for add the install options to SARDU.
I'm searching beta testers. Now install of seven AIO works fine in my pc (ISO and USB), Windows XP works on my pc only with USB (XP pro, Home at the same USB), in these days my work is add it for DVD :dubbio:

What exactly are you trying to achieve?
Install from USB or to USB?

FAT16/32 could be nearly as fast as NTFS when installing XP/2000/2003 from USB, you just have to use the latest versions of WinSetupFromUSB, currently 1.0 beta7, or why not install from an ISO if you like:

About partitioning the flash drive- unless you flip the removable bit and make it appear as fixed (search the forum for more info) it's not such a good idea to have multiple partitions when using it with Windows, setup, PE or whatever.
