I would love to see a keyboard changer like in Linux, where you see a little flag in the tray.
Would also solve the problem with foreign languages.

btw. I'd like to order one for XP based projects. :ranting2:

I meant one with little flags instead of a menu.
With GUI stuff one never knows, on which dll the developer bases his baby.

Thanks!

One more wish...i would rename the cancel button to exit...it does not really cancel anything once you have set a different keyboard and the user expects an exit button, especially as he is still in the program after changing the keyboard...

Maybe you could also add a commandline mode..i could then make a gui for it with flags like Madevil asked for...

Yes, but it is always good to have a tool that can do it all...otherwise someone would have to ue the old tool for one job and the new for another jib...have one tool that can do it all is best...

Keyboard Layout Changer updated

added flags

ToDo
commandline version could be added
parameters could be possible in GUI version for automation
"commandline mode" sounds strange

a updated version of ruslat would be nice

The flags are nice, but i think you've misunderstood, what i meant exactly.

I was looking for something like the Linux guys have. A flag icon in the system tray, which will upon click eigther unfold a menu of flags to choose from or simply switch forward to the next.

i know, know...

for my work i took a look at the language changer from Active Boot Disk

the TrayIcon could be the next, i have to do some research for this; especially if i want the language of the active application and not the global settings

the TrayIcon mostly disapear when you change or restart the shell, this could be a problem at all

The journey is the reward.

i know, know...

Great!

You want to create a program, which can change the language settings of a multitude of individual programs?
Cool idea! No idea how you plan on doing this, but cool idea.

the TrayIcon mostly disapear when you change or restart the shell, this could be a problem at all

That's a strange behaviour. Usually simply reloading systray.exe, without first closing , fixes any icon problem in the tray.
