Haha.. you're getting rusty my old friend.. :)

A few months ago we'd be doing the same on daily basis until the old boot land server let us enter the forums without flashing the error 500 message.. :) :)

Congratulations Holger! :)
How big is the baby? Can you already say anything about how it handles?

Also did you hear anything that M$ is moving the release date? My daughter said, they said on TV something from end of this year. :) Can't believe that!

Dear All,

The link is not working now.
Their server can't cope for heavy downloads. :)
I'll get it here as soon as possible.

For all who still want it, there is only one network that can handle this kind of load without problem!
You know how it is called, so get it before M$ finds out too. :)

What build was the download, 7000?

:)

Thanks for the link, it's working good and downloading quickly.

It reminds me the good old days when playing around with the first editions of Windows 98.

How can we sign up for the beta testing?

This time I wouldn't mind volunteer to give back some feedback and try a little bit to avoid seeing standing another mammoth like Vista for the next two years.. :)

Been running windows 7 for a couple of days now. I much prefer the user interface of Vista to the windows 7 interface.

Maybe it helps others who did not have success until now like me):

I'm now using Billy the Door's own browser IE, rather than FireFox/Reget before.

And here it works!

The link works again.
http://technet.micro...r/dd353205.aspx

The size of file is changed to 2.44 Gb from 2.43Gb. :)
They are using private Ms Download Manager to complete the download and you can pause you download as well.
Activation Key is pop up before download starts.

Enjoy.

See my previous post:
It really works only with IE!

That's strange.. :)

I downloaded it this morning from Ubuntu/Firefox just like any other file with no trouble at all.

Is there a MD5 checksum available for the x86 english ISO image that I can use to verify?

:)

Firefox several times stopped after around 400 MB.
And in IsoBuster everything looked ok.
The only problem I saw was the file size ...

After I already have 32 bit German (complete), I started 64 bit German and English 32 / 64 bit simultaniously.

Manager tells me about 2 hours to finish it.

So tomorrow I can post a MD5 here

Thank you Peter, I'll wait then.

Don't know if it helps, these are the MD5 details of my image:
f9dce6ebd0a63930b44d8ae802b63825 7000.0.081212-1400_client_en-us_Ultimate-GB1CULFRE_EN_DVD.iso

The size of the image is 2,4Gb (2618793984 bytes)

If this is correct, maybe downloading from other OS's helps? :)

According to the http://www.mydigitallife.info the size of Win7 beta 1(32-bit) is 2618793984 bytes (2.44 GB) and MD5 hash checksum value of f9dce6ebd0a63930b44d8ae802b63825

So your image is the exact byte and correct one.

BTW, other one (64-bit) is as follow:
File Name: 7000.0.081212-1400_client_en-us_Ultimate-GB1CULXFRE_EN_DVD.ISO
Size: 3387009024 bytes (3.15 GB)
MD5: 773fc9cc60338c612af716a2a14f177d
SHA-1: E09FDBC1CB3A92CF6CC872040FDAF65553AB62A5
Platform: x64 (64-bit)
Language: English

Dear All Win7 fans,

To be aware of MP3 Cut Off problem, you must download and install this patch as soon as installation's finished.
