,First off, would like to extend my heart felt thanks & gratitude to Roamer_1 a fellow Boot-Land member & good friend for pointing this little "Gem" out to me.
Scenario, you write a program or batch routine that relies heavily on the command prompt dos box, you know that black box with a blue header bar. But lets say you want to reconfigure the settings within it, which can be found incidentally by right clicking somewhere on the header bar go to properties then setup position color background fore ground, size etc. Without reg hacks & manual intervention you will find this is difficult, not impossible I might, add but will be slightly annoying from a batch routine!
What if you had a portable version of CMD box (Command prompt) that was capable of being carried on a flash stick but you had pre-configured to your own tastes? Well there is now such a progey available & freeware 2.
I am currently working on a XP Home profile for a small version of XP called "SmallXP", circa 212 Mb's fully installed, anyway it is advantageous for command prompt to be pre-configured already setup prior to distrib.
In this example you will notice that Wbat is used to provide a front end gui menu within the dos Box as an example. This is only an example you could use "Wizards Apprentice" or strictly remain in Command prompt routines that is entirely up 2 you! So here is "Portable Command Prompt" in action (pre-configured to suit my own tastes)!
