I want an offline copy of this forum and all it's contents. I mostly use HTTrack for mirroring sites, usually without asking. But if I'm a member then I ask first. I will set download limits to ensure that the server isn't overloaded. This question is primarily directed to @Nuno, so if you aren't part of management then don't answer, since you can't give/decline permission.

Are there are other domains that need to be included, to get the result of a complete copy?

Hello,

You can sure make a copy, under the condition that the copy can be shared with others who are interested. :)

Best time is during night time in London (after 23:00). That's when the activity is lower and should cause less interference on normal browsing.

Unfortunately I've seen good forum sites getting lost and never again have a chance to read their content. Let's try to avoid that from happening here.

@Nuno: I wouldn't mind making a copy for sharing, but I don't own/run any servers, so this would be hard to do. Running a server on a laptop simply is feasible. I don't own any desktops. The whole point of me doing this is simply to keep a copy for my own personal reference.

Ok, we could be able to find a storage solution. I can work on this.

I fully agree and this should be greatly appreciated!!!

I think this is a very good idea, in such a way one is able to apply some off-line search (not to talk about the several times I couldn't  connect to Reboot...in the last times).

Also good is the idea to possibly have a storage solution (that is, something available for downloading), in order to avoid server's overloading.

Yes for starting it may be uploaded to One Drive, Google Drive or a Server as Mega (Free account offers 50 GB) or any other with good bandwidth.

Mega is the only server I would consider uploading to, since I have a premium account with them. I'm unequivocally opposed to uploading any files to services operated by Google or Microsoft. They already hoard enough info about people, I'm not giving them any more than I have to.

I did a sample mirror session last night, as a test. It ran for 3 hours at throttled speed, the end result was around 5GB. If I let it complete it will likely be huge. So I'll have to look into making sure links outside the reboot.pro domain/server arent captured. I've set limits but it insists on jumping over to Google, Wikipedia, Yahoo, lots of other sites. It seems to be taking in alot more than it should. I also tested with Offline Explorer Enterprise, results are roughly the same. I also excluded downloading any links that aren't webpages (zip, exe, rar, 7z, etc). And I didn't provide login credentials.
