The BIOS of my laptop (not too old, i5) can boot USB HDD's, USB pendrive and so on. Unfortunally the internal card reader isn't detected.

Do you think something like this http://www.techshout...-cardreader.jpg or this http://i00.i.aliimg....In_One_Card.jpg would be seen by the BIOS as "USB pendrive" and be therefore bootable?

The boot menu on my computer shows the internal card reader slots as well as connected external card readers.
If it is possible to actually successfully boot from them, i do not know.

Most card readers are seen as USB Storage devices. I can boot from card slots on notebooks fine. The USB card readers you link to will look like a USB pen drive and you can also boot to these too. I have several and these just look like a USB pen to the BIOS.

The internal one isn't seen by my BIOS.

But that's great news. So at least external ones are probable to work! Thanks!
