New forum skin theme under test

A new theme is being tested. If you are an advanced member you can select this theme at the footer of site page. It will be made available as default if it passes through the testing/customization.
Things to modify (more to be added soon):
- Make background on the text of topics be white instead of this dark color (otherwise emoticons don't look good)
- Add site logo (or remove it completely)
- Reduce empty space height at the top of the page
- Remove double link on navigation (either "reboot.pro" or "forums") since they both point to the same location
I will keep this topic updated as changes occur.

I do not like (maybe because I have difficulties ro read) white on black.

I won't become a friend of this theme.
NOR will I , but still it's a form of Freedom of Skin.
I spent enough time and words in the past to try and explain (apparently with no success whatever) what readability is and how background colours and fonts can dramatically better or reduce it, I won't go again through all that.
Setting the dark background as "default" is IMHO completely unneeded and counterproductive, but as long as "Advanced Members" will be allowed to use the current one, it is perfectly allright to me, though I will feel sorry for the poor good willing guys that will have it "forced upon" until they get to a 100 posts (or whatever) and become able to change it.

Other than that, the theme brings a better look than the default one. In either case it will only be added if the itens on my list get solved.
I just made it available for the community have some fun of trying out a different theme for a change..

Though I understand that the theme is under development, it did not appeal me too much mostly because of difficulty to read. I feel, as days will go on, this thread will get cluttered with tons of suggestions & will end up either abandoning the project like what it was earlier or members being compelled to use the theme causing utter disgrace among members. My suggestion is, if you really want us to "taste" a new flavor, why don't we take a standard/popular theme, even from a different forum software, e.g. MyBB & mimic the UI from that?
Personally I like the UI of the "The Cure" theme meant for MyBB which was previously used by TLF.
Thanks for all your efforts.

I like this new theme. It's much easier on the eyes.
As an aside, it helps consume less power on OLED screens, which will be making their way soon to all consumers.

Thanks for the feedback, however I have disabled the theme since I am unable to make any customization for the moment.
If someone has enough time to help with the testing and customization, please let me know.
Take care!

I'm still testing and a new theme was added for your testing pleasure.
It still follows the darker looks, however uses a whiter background to ease on the eyes.
Please let me know if you like it.
Personally, I would just change the red text onto black or similar.

One small concern: The buttons "Back to top" ... "Quote" and "Post" ... "More Reply Options" look a bit too aggressive.
Issue: Currently no display difference between read and unread posts.

As for the difference between read and unread topics, can you provide me with an example screenshot of the default theme? I might need some expert help to recover that feature.

Should be: Currently no display difference between read and unread topics.
The difference is shown by bold / normal of the title.

The new buttons have small icons next to them and I like that. Every now and then someone used the "report" button to reply and participate on a given talk, instead of using for reporting spam.
So, I hope this theme can minimize that issue from reoccurring.
In overall the theme seems just about ready. I am trying to reduce the height used by the logo on the header. For me, the smallest height used, the better.

The "report" Icon is very visible .The new buttons have small icons next to them and I like that.
The "Back to top" and "Promte to article" are indistinguishable between them (at a quick glance) - I would suggest to fill with some colour the up pointing arrow of the first..
The "Multiquote" and "Quote" are indistinguishable between them (at a quick glance) - I would suggest to make the + sign bigger on the first.
Not that I will use them (meaning BOTH the new skin AND the link), but the "Moderator CP" link in the new skin is missing .In overall the theme seems just about ready.
The font is now pretty much UNreadable (too d@mn small) IMHO.
The left and right "borders" or "margins" are senselessly reducing screen space for actual contents.

At the moment I don't consider the new skin as good enough to replace the standard theme and therefore the standard theme will remain as default for all users.
Will leave the second skin available for advanced members who wish to try out a new look for a change.

2) Text font is larger (same size as original theme)
3) The text color is black.
