BURG install in USB Flash Disk

Hi, I am trying to install BURG in my USB Flash disk however in most of searches I have made I have found the tutorial talks about Hard disk install only.

After installing the BURG (in Hard disk from Ubuntu environment) it instructs to run

sudo burg-install /dev/sda
sudo update-burg

There is a tip saying 'Change hd0 if you want to install to other disk' Does it apply to USB say /dev/sdb as well?

I followed the same and replaced sda with sdb however I am unable to see any boot folder created inside my USB disk tried with BURG GUI Manager > chossing /dev/sdb (My usb) without any success. It is recognising the USB disk for BURG install however it is not installing BURG in USB mbr in real neither the boot folder is created.

I tried to register and ask the same question in that forum however registration is disbled

I use BURG installed on a dedicated Partition to boot various flavours of Operating System
I haven't tried it on a USB Stick, but the following Commands should work:

After you have installed BURG on your Ubuntu, issue the following commands in the Terminal.

Make sure that your USB is Not Formatted as a Superfloppy, and contains a valid MBR with atleast one Partition. Lets say that you have mounted that USB Partition as Loader, and ur USB Drive is sdb.

Now,

sudo burg-install --root-directory=/media/Loader /dev/sdb

This will create the required BURG Directories and Files in the Partition mounted as Loader.

You need to add burg.cfg and themes directory manually.

I am pretty much sure that this will work. If it doesn't, let me know and I will try it on my USB

original companion of BURG is its elder brother FBINST . just format usb with fbinst , and use standard commands that we used to use to add grub4dos into it.

fbinst (hd2) add burg burg ( example)

I am also interested using fbinst - Was not aware that latest fbinst can support BURG now. I tried with fbinst and it is booting fine however I can not see any burg.cfg or any other files/folder. I used burg_v3.fba & latest fbinst.exe to issue fbinst X: format --archive burg_v3.fba --force (X my USB drive).

Do I need to copy buldr into the root? And what about the menu file (burg.cfg) or theme folders?

they all are in fba file and you can either edit burg.cfg from fba with fbinsttool or just copy your own burg.cfg to root
