I was just returning to bartpe after a few years removed from the tech world. I found winbuilder to be quite an attractive project but I'm wondering if driverpacks.net can be implemented into the disc at all? Specifically network drivers. I work on a very wide range of systems and network drivers are essential for doing PE style scans.

I did use the search but the posts I found were quite old and didn't address the question fully.

Yeah, I did look over that post and it didn't explain specifically if there was driver.net pack support. I understand that you can point it at a directory of precompiled drivers but has anyone actually tested this with driverpack.net ethernet pack of ethernet drivers? I can't be the first person to think of trying this.

Yes, you can use it with the DriverPacks lan package.

Unfortunately the driver import tool by kare is very very slow. If you ever try to include a driverpack.net lan drivers list in it, It takes ages for xp live to load! This is not a very good way of including drivers for lan in winpe in my opinion. It's so much easier in ubcd4win, which supports lan driverpacks.net more easily with much faster boot times. I also would have liked to use livexp as I administer servers, unfortunately however, the lack of an easy way to import drivers into livexp does not help very much. Bartpe and more specifially uncd4win are much more user friendly when it comes adding drivers. There are more bartpe plugins around and adding drivers to ubcd4win from driverpacks.net is much much easier. I have googled a lot, and soon discovered a lot of people are struggling with this.

Maybe, someday, these issues will be resolved, till then I will have to stick with ubcd4win........

Got my drivers to work at last...but not using driverpacks.net. You have to lookup your driver from your manufacturer...could be a long process especially for old machines plus the fact that windows xp will probably die in a couple in the next few years plus the sites that supply xp drivers shortly thereafter. If only driverpacks could be imported to livexp but unfortunately this does not work. You have to download your drivers individually. For winbuilder just pretend there is no such thing as driverpacks!!!
