Hi,

I spent a lot of time searching how to make my 16Go usb key bootable, how to install loader on it and how to use my AeroStudio menu from this usb key.

After many attempts, I finally succeeded and here is the step by step tutorial to do it

Chami Boot Key :

IMPORTANT:

Be careful when formatting your usb key, because if you format the wrong drive, you will delete all your data. I’am not responsible if any -bad things- happened during this tutorial, this tutorial is delivered as is.

Ah one more thing, Sorry for my bad english ;)

So let’s go

Setp 1 :

When the design of your Menu using Aero Studio is terminated, generate your .iso file (we will need it later)

Step 2 :

- Download PeToUsb from here and run it
- Select your usb key (be careful to do not select the wrong one)
- Check the options as shown in this screenshot (if you have an usb key >2Go do not check Enable LBA (FAT16X)

- Click start to format the usb key and make it bootable one

- Download Grub4dos from here and uncompress the zip file
- Download Grubinst_gui from here and uncompress the zip file in the same directory as Grub4dos
- Check that all the files are in the same directory as shown in the screenshot

- Launch the grubinst_gui.exe file
- Select your usb key (be careful to do not select the wrong one)
- Click install (Do not touch to the other options)

Now you have a bootable usb key with Grub4dos on it, Perfect.

Step 3 :

Create those directories on your usb key as shown on this screenshot
The cbk directory is for : Chami Boot Key (the place in where is store all my img and iso files, you can give any name you want instead of cbk)

- Copy the grldr in the root of your usb key (you can find this file whiting Grub4dos files)
- Create in the root of your usb key a file with the name menu.lst
- Copy those lines and save it

- Copy the cbk.iso file to the /cbk/menu directory. (Do not forget to replace the cbk.iso with the name of your iso file)
- Copy all your iso and img files to the /cbk/distribs directory

Now you are ready to boot from you usb key

Hope that help
Have fun ;)

Is the folder must be named as "distr" ?
I've named it "images" and when booting, it said my USB was FAT16, then this error come out:

When I press "Enter", it show the Aero command-line UI...
Can you... continue to support... me ? :D :D
