Benefit of starting grub4dos from syslinux on usb flash drive? Like this project - http://www.pendrivel...-multiboot-usb/
Perhaps this is a basic question, I don't know. However, I have a usb flash drive that has grub4dos installed on the mbr to boot iso images, and I also have one that has grub2 on the mbr to boot iso images. Is using Syslinux mainly to overcome difficult BIOS (Award)? I could see the GRUB device number being an issue, but the PCs I have booted a usb stick on use the usb stick as the first device, some directly as a usb device, and some as the first "hard drive." In either case, as long as the menu.lst or grub.cfg is correct there doesn't seem to be a problem.
Thanks...
