PXE boot - Quick question

I did my usual search but do nto find a clue,

I have my USB bootable LIveXP ISO, that I have booting with grub for dos. Can i take the WIM file in that ISO and move it to A WDS server? or so i need to make modifications.? Please let me know,. thanks in advance.

The WIM in the Windows XP PE (if built with Winbuilder) does not have the same filesystem structure as regular WDS boot.wim so the answer is no. Sorry. I tried it and it didn't boot you'll get a Winload.exe error. Hope this helps

Maybe it works with the good old bootmgr/winload of Longhorn from back in 2005. That combination of files was backwards compatible to nt5.x, meaning you could boot a regular XP/2003 without ntldr, and possibly also setupldr as in WinPE.
