The objective of this thread is to explain how to use Tiny PXE Server in a situation where you want to use another DHCP server and/or another TFTP server.

Use another TFTP server.

There is pretty straight forward and as easy as to use the next-server feature.

In the example below, 192.168.1.151 would be another host on your network running your TFTP server.

Optionally then, you could disable TFTP within TPS by adding tftpd=0 under [dhcp] in config.ini.

Use another DHCP server.

Here again, this situation is rather straightforward since that case in handled by the DHCP RFC.

Enable the proxydhcp checkbox and TPS will act a proxy dhcp i.e will not interfere with your standard DHCP process.

It will then only handle the dhcp options dealing with the network boot part.

It will not provide dhcp options such as the leased IP, gateway, etc, and will leave this part to your DHCP server.

A quick analysis of TPS log file.
