Hi all,
I have now been six months a Home Server 2003. I know it's old. But I was looking for a reasonable replacement for my network hard drive. It was only 40 euros expensive, without hard drives. Backup and media streaming inclusive.
I know there is a recovery cd. but if some Drivers won't work...
It's not fully developed. Currently, the following is done:
- It has the Windows Recovery client. Tested and OK
- It has the Windows Home Server Console, Wake on LAN for the server. Not tested...
- Most components are of the Windows Home Server, Some of the HP server.
- It is in German and for 32-bit.
- The folders are stored in multiple zip files to keep the script file small.
- The registry entries are written in the new format.
I think the script is easy to adapt to different languages and to 64 bits.
I did not think about a publication, so it is not mature.
