Missing or corrupt file ifp63x64.sys

Best Answer VeeDub , 16 January 2017 - 10:31 PM

Yes I'm trying PE8 build now. I had a lot of issues migrating W2008 R2 to this Dell box. USB3 and Win 7 / 2008 R2 does work with a full version of Windows, but at driver level (i.e. HIR) it is quite problematic.

Hopefully PE8 will just work.

Hello,

I've had a working build of Win7PE using an x86 ISO for sometime. However recently I encountered a Dell T330 which uses a ridiculous USB3 Intel chipset and as a result the keyboard and mouse are no longer accessible.

I have tried the following to resolve

- Enable the USB3.0 script (and I've tried both the Intel 8x and Intel 7x options). By rights I think the Intel 8x should work as I understand the DEll is using the C220 chipset. Unfortunately it doesn't and since the keyboard and mouse aren't working I'm not sure how to access any log files that might exist

- As Dell has released drivers for Server 2008 R2 x64. I tried switching to x64 ISO (X17-59186) and using the Driver Integration script, where I have unpacked the latest DriverPacks plus the Dell drivers for the USB3 controller

Now when I start the image doesn't even boot and fails with the above error message

I found this thread where somebody else had a similar issue. In that thread there is a reference to a topic on another project by al_jo - but that topic seems to have been closed and most of the original content has gone.

So I'm after some ideas

Also I'd like to confirm if I'm using the correct x64 ISO

Cheers

VW

ifp63x64.sys seems to be a added driver.

As for testing: remove any third party drivers, does Win7PE boot at all?

The USB3.0 script is outdated and won't support current hardware.
Try Fernando's original or modded packs instead.

@cdob

Since I switched to the x64 ISO and added the x64 Driver Packs and the Dell USB3 driver - no the Win7PE doesn't boot on any system and fails with the above error

I'm just trying a build now without the Dell driver to see if that is the culprit.

If that doesn't work, I'll return to the x86 ISO which does work and I'll try the USB3 scripts that you mention

Cheers

@cdob

I've gone back to the x86 ISO, which at least boots.

I downloaded the "pure" 32 bit drivers into the folder: WinBuilder\Workbench\Common\Drivers_x86

When the ISO loads on the Dell I don't have keyboard or mouse and on the desktop I have an icon 'Win7PESE Warning'

Any ideas?

Hi,

I've been doing some more research into this issue and I think I have tried to integrate the driver in the correct way.

Am I better off switching to Win8PE to resolve this driver issue with the least effort?

Based on my reading I'm thinking this is likely going to be the case, which is annoying, but I need a PE environment that works with this silly Dell box and if this is going to be the path of least resistance then so be it.

Do you use a PowerEdge T330?<br />http://www.dell.com/...edge-t330/pd<br/><br />Aren't there USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports? Which port do you use?<br />Which USB settings exist at BIOS? Can you set USB 3.0 ports to automaic mode or USb 2.0 mode?<br /><br />http://www.dell.com/support/article/us/en/04/SLN300618/en<br />Well, T330 seems to be USB 3.0 only.<br /><br />Which USb 3.0 driver version did you add?<br />Try x64 OS and drivers too.

Hello!
We also have to be passive when we do it if we do not go from thing to the other without anything finished in the end!

Consider more reasons: USB 3.0, Secure Boot, NVMe disk, bitlocker and so on.
It's time for a update, if you use several parts regular.
