Spybot Anti-Beacon

https://www.safer-ne...ot-anti-beacon/

tool which was designed to block and stop the various tracking (telemetry) issues present in Windows 10. It has since been modified to block similar tracking functionality in Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 operating systems.

It was created to address the privacy concerns of users of Windows 10 who do not wish to have information about their PC usage sent to Microsoft. Simply clicking “Immunize” on the main screen of Anti-Beacon will immediately disable any known tracking features included by Microsoft in the operating system.

Spybot Anti-Beacon comes in two flavours; as a standard installation or as a Portable Edition

He covers how to use Spybot Anti-Beacon and why to run again when Windows updates. It seems that when new Windows updates are installed some settings are reset to default settings and not to the settings you had setup before the update. When I ran the program the first time, it said I had a rating of 4% blocked. lol!

How sad can this get, when the operating system itself fights so hard to remove the privacy of end-users.

Same thing for MacOS users, they actually break part of the operating system functionalities until you reboot and update the OS.

At this rate soon the only way to use the OS will be offline, and for doing something online use your prefered PE or maybe an small VHD loaded on RAM with only OS and your prefered browser on it, if you want full functionality.

There is a thread from wimb about making this mini VHDs on the forum, (from a Win7 and 8 fresh install) and they work very fine, and adding a virtual drive with ImDisk you may keep or not as you want the info before closing the virtual drive.

I have done some tests about this, some time ago.
