DISM GUI is a graphical interface for the DISM command line utility written in the .NET. DISM GUI allows you to mount and dismount WIMs, manager drivers, features and packages. DISM GUI 4.0 aims to incorporate new features of Win8 DISM currently supplied with ADK Deployment Tool package. See Win8 Deployment Image Servicing and Management (DISM) Reference for details.

Find more information at the author's Blog. Thanks to Holger for the link. :good:

Hello, sambul61!
I hope you have seen my little bit of requests to the author of DISM GUI - it is right near your invitation there. :good:
We need new DISM to be integrated into WinPE. Let's not forget about its ability to mount vhds too, not only wims...

Thanks for the reminder. I didn't try DISM yet for mounting VHDs, but now it looks even more like MS plans to reshuffle their teams a bit, and ImageX may in fact become redundant over time. Unless there are principle differences in their main features and target niches. I was planning to use new ImageX in Win8 Tuts, but will look now at DISM too.
