If you often need to quickly find out what is in a system and check it for drivers, errors in the Event Log, what hardware it has, etc. you may find my SysInfo2.hta script useful.

 

It was designed to help field engineers and customers and it can also email the report too.

 

For instance, you can ask a customer to run it on their system and it will email the report back to you. You can then save the file to their records (or cut and paste it in as text).

 

It is just a single .hta (text) file and as such is fully 'portable' and you can easily customise it.

Silly Me, I can't find a download link to SysInfo2.hta

Site works great, just no download link???.

Latest version is 2.0.b (it reported Win8 SKU on Win10 systems!)
