First, i've read a lot of bad things about these docks, but I do not having purchasing power in the company, so i have to use what I have.

That being said, I have a TB16 dock and a Latitude 7490 for a director that is causing a lot of issues with USB. Any keyboard plugged into the dock has a lot of latency. It can take anywhere from 3-5 seconds for a single letter or key press to register. In some cases, it may repeat a letter multiple times though it was pressed once. If you plug the keyboard into the laptop directly, there is no issue.

All the drivers have been updated, BIOS updated. I just got a replacement dock from our vendor, tested with the original and another replacement. All 3 have had the same issues.

I have turned off power management in the device manager for all USB hubs. I have disabled the Thunderbolt only in the BIOS.

Personally, I have some issue with the USB keyboard first thing in the morning. Since we take our machines home, when i connect the dock in the morning, it can take upwards of 5 minutes for it to register correctly before I can use it. In some cases, I need to power cycle the dock by pulling the cable and holding the power button for 15 seconds.

Anyone else have issues like these or similar that was able to resolve them?

What are the test conditions? What other devices are connected to the system and what ports are they connected to. If only the usb keyboard is connected do you still see the issue.

Do you mean USB keyboard or USB wireless dongle + wireless keyboard?

Any Updates???/

From what happened till now on the thread, I was expecting an update from you (answering the questions Steve asked).

The general plot is:

1) someone asks for help/assistance/opinions/etc.

2) someone else willing to help either provides what was asked for or asks for some more details (in order to better understand the issue and propose - hopefully - suitable solutions) or suggests to carry this (or that) experiment (again in order to better define the issue and possibly pinpoint the cause of it)

3) the OP (original poster) supplies the supplemental information asked for, posts results od the suggested experiments, etc.

4) loop to 2 until - hopefully -solved

My personal experience with USB Mass Storage devices (which are not exactly the same as USB HID's - Human Interface Devices - such as keyboards/mices etc.) has been that in some cases the (Windows) registry gets "clogged" by a number of entries for a "same" device.

Cannot really say if this may happen also on HID's, and of course it may depend on the exact version of Windows that is running (IF it is Windows).

This said, from the hyperlinks that you sneakily inserted in your own quote[1] it is clear that you are a SPAMmer, thanks for making Steve and myself waste some time on your non-existing issue.  :ranting2:
