Ok, you will need to RE-read it AGAIN.

An Alcor tool won't detect an USB with that PID/VID.

Are you sure the flash is not FAKE and it worked at real capacity?

For future reference, this same thread may be read here: http://www.usbdev.ru...p-please/#p2321

EDIT: This must worth reading, it seems the same problem (?): http://www.911cd.net...opic=25295&st=0

I change the vid/pid but still USB is undetectable... :(

Flash works fine before write protection, and i think it's not fake , because last time i copied 4Gb data on it and it copies Successfully..

Well, until you will post HOW EXACTLY you "changed" the vid/pid, which EXACT tools did you try using, under which EXACT OS you did the tests, etc., etc., compare with:

http://homepage.ntlw...ard-litany.html

it is very improbable that you can get any form of help/assistance.

Of course you can insist on whining :w00t:  providing only vague info or no info, but it won't help in getting you further into the (hopefully successful) repair attempt.

In any case the good guy at www.usbdev.ru  is the one with the most experience and knowledge on these tools :worship:, so it is improbable that you will get here "better" advice than what you can get from there.

Just so you know there are seemingly two kinds of "fakes":

  1. real fakes (i.e. sticks that have a much smaller capacity)
  2. half fakes (i.e. sticks that have the correct capacity or however a big enough one, but use lower quality - please read as slower - components inside)
