Hi, I like this powerfull Winmerge  program too...

I  integrated recently  your script in my new Win7PESE environment (built in january from http://w7pese.spam.net/Compressed/, version complete 2015-12-7 - I am an old expert, but without any knowledge before on winbuilder). This environment is currently producing what I hoped (a win7PESE with a lot of maintenance tools, backupper, disk utilities, network support, ... - I had difficulties with an Atheros driver which is not auto_installable, but I could manage).

Pending problems have been solved without any help except consulting the forum. I registered reboot.pro today, and I'm thinking of making a complementary tutorial to bring back my experience after a month working on my own  (this document is almost finished, I have just to translate it in english ; there are still points where I have questions to experts, but this will be subjects for future posts).

My problem concerning Winmerge script (version 3, 2013-4-9, for Winmerge 2.14.0.0) is that one : generation worked without any problem (detailed log successfull), but when running winmerge from WINPESE I got the following message : "The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect". Is there any mean to know wich entries of winsxs are necessary for that tool ?

I searched for more recent script without sucess (Is version 3 the latest ?).

I'll retry and search among the event-application-jounal and using sxstrace as suggests this error message from MS, but  if you had any idea and time left  to help me in solving that last  point I would apreciate.

Sincerely

Paul

Note : thanks for the work made by this team. I enjoy finding here so much good  material to enhance my environment !
