Is there a way to save all my Vista 64bit home premium docs, programs, etc to an external HDD and then install a fresh copy of Windows 7 and then add add all my programs, documents, etc back to the main HDD. I have been getting a blue screen failure (page_fault_in_nonpaged_area) and wanted to just back up my info on an external drive and reformat with a fresh version of Windows 7. Any help or guidance would be appreciated and I am sorry if this is a newbie question. Thanks and regards,

go to start button, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, Windows Easy Transfer. I used this to get files from XP to Vista on a machine that lost screen after a while. It got everything, There is probably same option for Win 7.
