Hi. Relatively newbie here. I have created a boot disk with Toshiba Transmemory MX USB flash and it boots OK from 2 of my computers at home but I have a PC that is used as a media server and the USB goes straight to memtest with no other options. Is there a reason this may be happening on one computer? The media server has MSI motherboard.

Thanks

Thanks very much for the reply. I did look through some of the FAQ but could find no search option. I had already tried deleting the EFI folder but nothing booted. I will look to try some of the other options later.

Thanks

Your media server PC has UEFI firmware instead of a Legacy BIOS.

Go into the firmware setup menu (e.g. press F2 or ESC at power up) and enable CSM\Legacy boot, disable Fast Boot and disable Secure Boot.

Then it should boot from the E2B drive.

Many thanks. I had tried it before many times but today I have checked through everything in the BIOS and found there was a Windows 8.1 option which I disabled, now it works.

Thanks

Can you give the exact name of the option please (for future reference and so that others may learn).

In the advanced menu was a Windows 8 configuration option, I disabled it and when I reboot the USB has other boot options than the UEFI.

One more question though less pressing, is there a way to boot and display Windows array drives?

Sorry, don't know what you mean by Windows array drives?

Sorry, I mean the RAID array. I have created a Windows 8 RAID array which stores my backups and when I boot from the E2B disk this drive isn't displayed.

Thanks
