Hi, i discovered this amazing tool and now i am testing it out.

But it dont work.

I downloaded multiplePE_latest and started it. Then i link my Source Win7 32 SP1 Files and press Play.

There was an .iso created. (test on my latest vmWare sofware failed, says some about "Vienna" is not supported)

I made an bootable NTFS USB Stick with unetbootin 578 (Latest). i try to boot on my Desktop and Notebook:

Windows is loading files, then 2 second the windows logo loader, then blackscreen..

I burn a dvd with win7 iso-creator but it fails to load too...

I made no changes to the mutli_PE defaults, only linked to my Win7 files and press Play..

What can i do ?

My machine on which i build the .iso is a Win764 SP1 with SSD and fast CPU.

Here some infos, screens and he log. Thanks for helping a noob !

Edit: I put the multiple_PE latest now on C:/ Before it was on users/downloads..to avoid windows UAC problems cause of the user folder (i am admin an i start winbuilder as admin)

Now i get an error that i got on my first try too ( i then started again and no more error apears)

Hi garack!

First welcome in our forum.
Your reporting details are very good for a beginner! :good:

The "trackWBInstall" error is my fault. The script should not be selected in factory settings. Please uncheck. But this error does not affect the final result.

I think that your VMWare version does not accept win7 sp1 PE ISO. Please try in PEFactory to change the "Emulation" from Auto to QEmu. (running qEmu will need some time ...)

I do not know how which result unetbootin brings. multiPE has it's own functionality to create a bootable UFD.
Change in PEFactory "Target Result" to USB flash drive. After that init your ufd information with PEFactory > Config > 6-Create Image > Create USB Flash Drive.

BTW: After changing something in PEFactory you do not have to rebuild the project. Just click "Process" in PEFactory.

I'll download the "latest" into a fresh directory and try to reproduce your troubles.

Good luck!

Peter

Hey, thanks for your fast answer.

I solved the problem as fast as you answer too :)

My second try was succesfull. the problem was, as i thought, the Win7 User Account Control. When i start Winbuilder from the C:UsersGarackDownloads Dir it cant work,

because it cant acces some directorys inside i suppose.

After starting winbuilder from c: it works.

the Vmware Problem was a settings problem, after i set Win7 to the guest OS with MultiPE_win7 it works!

But thank for your effort:)

I am sure i have other questions after some time, but now i will first try all and then post :) But it was a good information for you too i think.

Cheers, garack

My machine on which i build the .iso is a Win764 SP1 with SSD and fast CPU.

Sorry, I saw that right now.
I'm currently working on some troubles when building on x64 host.

Now i get an error that i got on my first try too ( i then started again and no more error apears)

What does this mean?

The first message is not an error. It is a request to the user to restart. It appears very first time a new PE2 or PE3 source is used.
I think that I have to change the red error cross to the blue information i.

The second seems to be also an issue of factory settings: V: is my Drive where my multiPE is running.
As a first quick and dirty fix:

Look into script.project, and change
%BaseDrive%=V:
to your correct drive.
I'll fix in the next release.

Thanks for helping me to make multiPE better!

BTW: I moved this topic to the multiPE forum.

Peter
