Allow me to add a german joke about the same theme.

To explain:
In the northern part of Germany there live the 'Ostfriesen' and these people are the target of many jokes (all of the jokes assume they all are fools).
BTW: The jokes about Ostfriesen are invented by a company, which got the order to make Ostfriesland (where the Ostfriesen live) more popular for tourists.

Similar question:

Answer:
At least three are needed.
One to hold the bulb.
The others have to turn the chair where the first one is standing on.

The number is 9:
One standing on the table holding the bulb in the socket.
4 rotate the table walking in circle.
4 walk around in opposit direction to prevent 1st one from getting dizzy.
