when i try

find --set-root /DEPLOY.TAG
or anything else (any file, eg. IO.sys or even non existent files)

i get

Warning: MBR cylinderrs (19930) is not equal to the BIOS one (383).

Warning: MBR total sectors (320175450) is greater than the BIOS one (3201733055).
Some buggy BIOSes could hand when you access sectors exceeding the BIOS limit.
(hd0,0)
File system is ntfs, partition type 0x7

this happens on both my PCs. why is this so?

Don't worry. it's just a warning message.
