Notepad++ is a free Notepad replacement that supports several languages. Based on Scintilla, Notepad++ is written in C++ and ensures a higher execution speed and smaller program size.

Confirmed working with Win8PESE x86 and Win81SE x86.
This is the best app script available for this program.
It now requires a locally available installer file.

Hi Mikka, it doesn't work now. I got the message that said: Can't find installer. I guess that the url obtained in autoit script is wrong. Could you fix it please. Also, it would good if one can specify a local installer or specify the installer download url manually. Thanks for this script.

I checked twice (ran the AutoIt snippet and the WB script separately) and it worked fine. I know that if the project's website isn't accessible (maybe due to a filter), you'll receive such a message. As a quick fix I switched on a VPN connection and Bob's your uncle.

 

I'll think about adding an option for a local installer copy as available in, for instance, the Firefox script of mine.

Version 12 is out! The script has been totally overhauled ... offline installation included.
