start Wimlib-clc. http://reboot.pro/in...ds&showfile=588

load Backup-WIM containing captured Windows system partition.

specify image to modify.

select a custom wimbootcompress.ini (Wimlib-clc archive)

press [UPDATE] to start the process.

This is making this specific image WIMBoot-compatible.
Note: does not apply to images from Windows disc. (install.wim)
Mark this image WIMBoot-compatible.

go to [Info Tab]

right click on [Set / Change Property] of desired image.

type „WIMBOOT=1“ to appearing inputfield and press [OK].

when applying this specified image with „--wimboot“ switch set only files from [PrepopulateList] are extracted full size while all others are only extracted as „Pointer-files“, which reduces disk space consumption significantly.
