Started as kickstater. Needs the Pen, the app, and a special paper. The tip of the pen can be replaced by buying it from almost any stores that sells ink refills (in video 2:00).

Neo smartpen N2 for iOS and Android Smartphones and Tablets

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00ST8TW9A

  • Neo smartpen N2, with its exclusive app 'Neo Notes', automatically syncs what you write on paper to Android and iOS smart devices. Digitized handwritten notes are easy to save, share, search and organize or can be converted into digital text (transcription supported in 15 languages - refer to the description below).
  • N2's 11.8mm-thick full aluminum body is ergonomically designed to provide the same grip as a conventional pen and looks sleek. (Winner of iF Design Award 2015). It turns on automatically when touching paper (pressure recognition) and stores up to 1,000 pages even when not paired with a smart device to provide a comfortable and natural note taking experience.
  • Automatically sync content with Evernote, or upload to third party applications like Adobe Creative Suite and Dropbox in various file formats (JPEG, PDF, PNG, SVG...).
  • Organize and search notes by notebook, tag, or on calendar and even playback the whole note taking process along with recorded audio synced with strokes.
  • N2 works only with N notebooks, which are printed with our patented pattern, NcodeTM, to enable N2 to trace handwriting. N2 is compatible with both iOS 7.1/Android 4.1.2 or above, and compatible devices include: 1) iPhone 5, iPad air 1 or higher and 2) Galaxy S3, Optimus G pro, Xperia Z1, HTC One, Nexus 5, and other equivalent Android devices or higher.

Product Description
Color: Silver White
N2 works in tandem with our patented notepaper and Neo Notes app (Android and iOS). Simply start writing with N2 on Ncoded paper and the handwritten notes will appear on your smart device. The pen turns on automatically when you start writing, recognizes what page or notebook it is on, and stores data into its internal memory (up to 1,000 A4 size pages) even if it is not connected to a smart device. Notes taken will automatically transfer to your device when the pen is reconnected. You can record your voice synced with strokes (in app), convert handwritten notes into digital text in 15 different languages*, and search for pages by date, tags and also content. Email any page you want to share just by checking the email icon on the paper page when connected to smart device. The benefits of digitizing handwritten notes really kick in when you use them with other third party apps and programs. If you are an Evernote user, automatically sync Neo Notes with Evernote. You can also share notes through Google Drive, Dropbox, or other social media in various formats - PNG (image), PDF, TXT, or SVG (Scalable Vector Graphic) files. If you are a designer or artist, upload your handdrawn work in PNG and SVG files to Adobe Creative suite programs to edit your work on digital platforms. N2's potential was also acknowledged at Kickstarter, a crowdfunding site, in which N2 achieved top 2 in technology and more than 2,000 backers within 3 weeks. With its slim, ergonomic design, N2 - a 2015 iF Design Award winner - feels comfortable in the hand. *German, English, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Dutch, Portuguese, Russian, Swedish, Thai, Turkish, Chinese Traditional, Chinese Simplified
