I just made my first live CD with Win7PE and it is awesome! But I find myself stuck as one of the programs I added needs some .dll that are missing from the CD.

I'm looking for an answer as hard as I can but am starting to lose hope in finding a solution that I understand.

I found some that say to copy/pasta the file directly in the image, but I have yet to figure out how and where !?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm currently testing with the .dll file in the root of the portable program, hopefully it works out but I doubt it considering my luck...

@carobell
Adding any missing dll's to the executable's root directory at runtime is my preferred option. If this does not work then try adding them to the system32 directory. This should work whilst WinPE is booted. If not, then you may have other missing dependencies (possibly registry settings).

Misty

P.s. Once you have figured out the dependencies they can be added to the offline system. My preference is to inject using wimlib.

by the way, sometimes must register the dll in the system

for well working, also as addon to the system.

as example :

http://www.extrabit.com/exeproperties/

he use dll-files also as an tab extensions in the Propertys of files,

here as example for show the Propertys of the files in an own tab.

or

http://implbits.com/products/hashtab/

i guess, it's also a dll-thing :)

regestry of the dll it's the same way like ocx files:

https://community.so.../kb/zh-cn/14343

https://blogs.msdn.m...7-registrieren/

manny fun :)

should give more extensions like this as dll, because it is handy,

fast and well integrated in the system and make it more enhanced if the "plugin"-dll well programmed :))))

best regards

Blacky
